About Macros Calculator

Macros Calculator is a small, independent site with one job: free calculators for daily calories, macros, protein and body fat, built on published equations and explained in plain English.

How we build the calculators

• Every calculator uses a published, peer-reviewed or official equation. The page names the equation and its source, so you can check it.
• The maths lives in its own code package with automated tests. Each formula is tested against values worked by hand from the published equation before a change goes live.
• Each page explains the limits of its estimate. A calculator gives a starting point, not a diagnosis.
• Pages show the date they were last updated. When a reviewer checks a page, their name and the review date appear on it.

Macros Calculator is run by a small independent team.

Money

The calculators are free and need no account. If we add advertising or affiliate links later, they will be labelled, and they will never change a calculator's result.
